Comprehensive Center for Chest Diseases

The Comprehensive Center for Chest Diseases (CCCD) is committed to providing excellent, interdisciplinary care for patients with functional and/or oncological conditions affecting the thoracic organs. The focus is on a holistic treatment approach, scientifically based diagnostics and therapy, and close cooperation between all relevant disciplines and professions at the the Medical University of Vienna and the Vienna General Hospital.
The CCCD strives to play a leading role in patient-centered care, research, and education and training in diseases of the lungs, thorax (wall), and adjacent structures, such as the diaphragm, mediastinum, esophagus, thymus gland and trachea – aiming to continuously advance medical standards and shape the future of thoracic medicine.
