Lung cancer is affecting more and more non-smokers

Smoking remains the biggest risk factor for this particularly deadly form of cancer. However, genetic and environmental factors are also increasingly coming into focus. A study by MedUni Vienna shows that microplastics and nanoplastics made of polystyrene can trigger malignant changes in lung cells.
